Biography

In February 2006 the two high school friends Thorben and Sune formed Alcoholic Faith Mission.
Walking through Brooklyn they accidentally stumbled upon the Apostolic Faith Mission. Coincidentally were discussing alcoholism at the exact same and they joked about trading Apostolic out for Alcoholic; arguing alcoholics have faith in, or a need for booze, same as devoutly religious have a need for their religion.
A band with a name was conceived.

Six months after the conception of AFM they released their acoustic debut Misery Loves Company.

Today, four albums older, AFM - with additions of Kristine Permild, Anders Hjort and Magnus Hylander Friis - has evolved into more pop, noise, nostalgia-yearning for the late eighties early nineties.

Together they have played more than 200 shows on tours throughout Europe, North and south America and Denmark.

The critically acclaimed records have all been concieved in bedrooms and lofts in Copenhagen and New York respectively. And often by self forcing a set of dogmas including: only record by candlelight at night time while intoxicated, only use what is in the room as instruments; hence a kick drum is molded from the banging of two dictionaries, like a synthesizer is created by whaling and screaming.

In 2015 AFM will release their fifth album Orbitor.
